Interior design and décor must reflect the tastes of the owner while looking stylish and modern as well. Homes that have been in existence for a while need to be updated. A classy and current look can be achieved without spending too much. This wonderful home in Mumbai has been designed by Chaitali Shah, an interior architect. Everything about the design spells class and sophistication. The home is well-lit and space within the home has been utilised well to create an attractive and modern look.

Classy main door

A heavy wood door does always contribute a classy and rich look to any space. This door here features a wonderful intricately carved center. This contributes a unique yet sophisticated look to the main door.

Great composition

Homes in Mumbai are not extensive or generous where space is concerned. Here, the architect has utilised the space well to showcase unique spaces within the home without overwhelming it. A lovely large sofa provides adequate seating space. This sits opposite a simplistic and functional TV unit.

Gorgeous TV unit

The lovely Tv unit is set against an accent wall. Using sufficient lighting the designer has made this space look attractive and pleasing. A shelf adjacent to the main door provides for adequate space for footwear.

Great design

Providing homeowners with exceptional storage, the designer has used a wonderful set of cabinets and shelves as a base. The TV unit sits against a dark wood panel. The ledge above the cabinets makes for a lovely decorative place to display pictures and other collectibles.

Gorgeous parallel kitchen

This is a lovely kitchen and the design has managed to optimize the available space. Extending the counter from one end to the other has given the room a spacious feel. The combination of colours and tones works as it has a soft and rustic feel.

striking combination

Using a combination of tones such as a lighter shade of wood and working to include off-whites and a neutral tone, the designer has excelled in this space. The wonderful deep tone of the granite works with the rustic shades of the wall tiles extremely well.

Complete bedroom

Using a single colour of wood, the designer has kept the look minimalistic and easy. Preventing the single colour from draining the room, the designer has used white in the attic area. This not only brightens the room but makes it seem larger and more spacious.

Stylish bedroom

This is a simplistic and modern bedroom. The cushioned headboard is the focal point of this room as it sets the tone for the design of the room. Sheer drapes give a feminine and soft look to this space. Adding mirrors to the wardrobe extends the view and gives the room depth.
