Style can be achieved on a small budget, as this home shows us. Designed by Sagar Shah Architects in Mumbai, this one BHK apartment is a sight to behold. Everything from the décor to the lighting is carefully chosen by the architects to complement each other. The home has some spectacular modern influences that make it stylish and contemporary. Despite the limited space, the designers have done exceptionally well in turning it into a larger than life space with delicate décor, elegant design and beautiful accents. So, let's start our tour.

The first glimpse

The first glimpse of the home shows us the neatness in the design. Everything is well thought out and cleverly placed. Not even a pillow is placed without having a purpose in the overall design. Here, we get a glimpse of the comfortable corner of the house. The dining table is a pull-out design, which means that the homeowners can pull it down when they need it and push it back up when they need more space. Folding chairs provide seating at the dining table.

Delightful décor

Next, we head to the living room. The designers have cleverly used chrome-plated glass in the living and dining area to give it an illusion of a larger space. The glass is present in two panels, interspersed with wood. The TV wall is made entirely of a stylish, polished wood.  The TV is placed in the centre, with a cabinet below it that’s perfect for storing TV accessories. The floor has tiles in a marble finish.

The long view

Here, we get a glimpse into the entire living area of the house. It extends from the dining table to the living room. The living room has a comfy and stylish sectional sofa, which is placed opposite the TV for the perfect viewing experience. The full-length windows at the far end of the living room are covered with gorgeous cream curtains. As we can see here, the ceiling design has been kept minimal to highlight the rest of the décor elements very well.

Finer details

Now, we take a closer look at the details in the room. There is a beautiful world map on one side, which is intended to serve as a souvenir for all the places where the client has travelled. It also looks excellent in this space. A small seating area in the corner offers comfort and privacy. The lighting is unusual, with small spotlights dominating the ceiling, instead of larger lights.

The bedroom

The bedroom has gorgeous wooden flooring, which is our favourite. The ceiling and the background wall of the bed have textured white paint, to give the room some character. The bed is placed right by the large window. What we love the most about this room is the view right out of that window.

The bathroom

We end our home tour with this stylish bathroom that has a wooden door at its entrance. Neutral coloured tiles have been used in the flooring, as well as on the walls. The mirror has backlighting, making it even more stylish.
