Jake and the Team at Orange were great helping us plan and visualise our project. They provided numerous drawings and the consultation process helped us look at options we didn’t think of and also with timings of key stages which helped us massively with financing the project and us ultimately being better organised and in turn saving cash. A great service as always. Although I’m bias, I’ve used Jake and his team for many projects. They’ve always been happy to help with design suggestions, planning solutions and assistance during construction.
Lots of positive reviews on here. God knows why. Asked Orange designs to come up with a solution for a project we had in mind, but failed miserably to fulfill our requirements. Waited months for them to come back with plans for something completely different to what we asked for. Young team with ideas above their station. Steer clear if you have something less than straight forward.
When we took the decision to take on a huge modernisation and restoration project we were some what overwhelmed with the direction to take. We looked around the market for a suitable architect, being a large project most of the traditional type firms appeared only interested in their fees. After a friends recommendations I had a look at Orange Designs website and instantly liked the blend of old with new on a some of their past projects and after discussions with them we met with Jake to discuss the possibilities of the design. Jake and his team came back with a few proposals of which we selected one and proceeded jointly to further enhance and hone it to our personal requirements and taste. The initial planning consent didn’t go well as the site has a complete TPO (Tree preservation order) on it and our local council were very tardy. Orange Designs got onto this and smoothed the way and our project pushed forward. With Jake and the team outlining project timescales, suggesting developers of which we were most pleased with, the project came to a successful completion . I can say that the project has been challenging/rewarding/stressful/interesting and it is no longer a ‘project’ but our 'forever home'. I can whole heartedly recommend Jake and hist team at Orange designs.They are professional, diligent and competent but above all design led.
Orange and Connor were a superb partner in supporting us with our extension. At the beginning of the project we had a list of ideas and Orange started by producing 6 completely different concepts with varied designs (traditional to modern) and budgets. This allowed us to understand what was possible and narrow down what we wanted, which ended up as a combination of the designs produced. Planning was achieved without any issues. We started the build confident in the design which was a real help. I'd recommend Orange especially for the concept design stage. Thanks!

Perhaps foolishly, we decided to take on building two houses from scratch with little knowledge of how to go about this. As we knew planning permission was the starting point, we needed a design worthy of the development. We were recommended to go to Orange Design and were so glad of this.
Right from the initial consultation the team explained everything including helping us with our role and responsibilities, which was just what we needed as novices. We gave Orange Design the go ahead and they produced a fantastic contemporary design which was perfect, they also helped get this passed by the planning department. We were kept informed at every stage and made to feel supported and we are confident that they are a very competent professional team.
Even after the planning process was concluded Orange Design are still helping us with guidance and advice.
We will not hesitate to recommend them to anybody who asks.

Highly recommend Jake and his team. They completed a fantastic design for our traditional field barn. This is in a sensitive conservation area so had to be sympathetic to the location. Drawings and detail were first class. They also offered support / advice with building control and structural engineering. A friendly and experienced team who you can freely discuss your plans and ideas with.
Contacted Jake with an awkward building plot for a contemporary design. After a preliminary discussion of my requirements, I basically sat back and let Orange Design do the rest. From design to planning I have received a first class service and would highly recommend.

This is our first build and certainly first time working with architects and Jake and his team were so patient from the start, talking us through their process and the way they work.
We felt at ease and Jake took the time to get to know us and our home in order to give us the best design.
We had an idea of what we wanted but loved that the first stage would be a few options on possible styles and layouts, it was great to have someone else’s input and thoughts. We then took elements of each that we loved and worked to create the perfect design for us.
Edward put forward a layout that we would never have thought of but absolutely loved, it was simple but just turned things on their head!
They have been absolutely fantastic through the planning process too, talking us through the stages and always being available for a call or any questions.
Their help has continued too, helping recommend suppliers, builders and products. We are approaching the build stage now and have already been told that if we have any questions or need any advice they are there. We feel they really do go the extra mile and want each project to be as good as it can be.
Jake and his team are amazing from the word go, professional that insight great ideas and give you a real sense of vision to meet all budgets.

Orange Design Studio have consistently delivered both a high level of service, matched with amazing design and great attention to detail. We had an architect prior to Orange Design Studio who failed to deliver an exciting scheme within budget. True to form Orange Design Studio created five exciting schemes all within budget and made the whole process enjoyable again. Special mention to Ed who is simply brilliant, nothing ever too much trouble and guided us through the whole journey with lots of superb ideas evolving along the way. We had a challenging time with our local council regarding planning, Ed took control of this and we have now been granted permission for our chosen scheme. We approached Orange Design Studio to look into the options of developing a small plot of land in Huddersfield. We were hoping to fit one house on the site but Jake at orange created a number of brilliant options that were possible which were fantastic to see, they had some amazing ideas. They communicated really well and were extremely efficient at managing the planning process.

The roof design makes the most of the natural light and really helps to flood the kitchen with sunshine. Good communication and helped to answer all questions asked by novices in this area.
