Captain Matt was absolutely fantastic! He contacted us a day in advance to confirm our reservation, go over any details, and provide any clarifications. Our first time fishing was made fun and safe by Captain Matt. My kid, who is 7 years old, declared that this was his favorite trip ever! I had an exceptional fishing experience with Captain Pat and his mate Nate. Their professionalism and dedication were evident throughout the day as we quickly caught fish within the first half hour of being offshore. In total, we landed over 30 Mahi and 5 Bonita, making it one of the most memorable fishing trips I've ever had. YACHTFISH will be my top choice for charters in St Pete Beach.
This is my second charter with YACHTFISH Fishing Charter and we will be back. An excellent experience in all ways. This trip was with the inshore fishing. Booking is easy online. Captain Matt contacted me a few days before the trip to confirm location and hear about our expectations for what type of fish we want to catch. Boat is clean and Captain Matt did an outstanding job getting us to great fishing sites and managing the boat and equipment. In a 1/2 day charter we caught several type of Jack, a mango snapper, and one lemon shark. Boat is excellent, clean and safe and very efficient. We will be back next time we are in St Pete Beach.

A group of friends and I recently went out on a full-day offshore charter with Captain Pat and his first mate Nate. It was a blast! The recently renovated boat is clean, comfortable, and smooth riding. Pat put us on the fish immediately and Nate had us hooked up within minutes. We had close to 10 Mahi in the boat within the first 15 minutes of fishing. Even on a day when there was a lot of competition on the water, Pat and Nate put us in great spots for landing quality fish. They worked hard all day long to find fish and get us hooked up. It was a great trip, and I recommend them to anyone who is wanting to the best fishing charter out of St Pete Beach!

First time fishing in Tampa and our experience with these crews was nothing but wonderful. The first day we did offshore and got into gag grouper within minutes of putting out the first line. After an hour of trolling we had our table limit and moved farther off shore for bigger fish. Again within minutes after arriving at the wreck we had nonstop action of amber jack. Fighting the jacks tired my wife and I out so Capt. Dan rigged up a hand line for my 15 yo son to haul up some 225+ lb. Goliath grouper. A lifetime memorable experience. The second day was an inshore trip with 6 anglers. Everyone caught fish and could not have been happier, at least 8 different species with plenty for the table. Both crews worked hard to provide the best customer experience. Communication, timing and Safety was evident from my initial booking months ago until we stepped off the boat at the end. Captain Dan and Evan were superb at leading us to find quintessential and prized Florida fish. Very knowledgeable, engaging, professional and focused on achieving a great fishing vacation outcome for our family. Their team had superb charter standards at multiple levels. We would definitely trust them with our precious vacation time in the future.
My girlfriend and I are in Florida with our best friends and we decided ahead of time to book a deep sea fishing trip while we were out here. All I can say is both Captain Matt and Evan truly know their stuff and had us on monsters almost immediately. I ended up getting a huge Barracuda and my buddy got a hog of an Amber Jack back to back. Along with catching mangrove snapper, grouper, Spanish mackerel and a few others the day ended up being one I will forever remember. We went out with Garrett and Jake for some shark fishing, and they did not disappoint! We had a great time with these guys! Got into a couple a stingrays and some sharks! Awesome time! Definitely recommend these guys!
My son and I went on an inshore with Captain Pat and Nate and offshore with Captain Dan and Evan, they were awesome. It was the greatest trip we have ever done. The captains are amazing and very knowledgeable! Caught so many different types of fish, got the inshore grand slam and then had our catch cooked at the restaurant. Was an amazing trip and would definitely recommend.

I recently booked a charter with Yachtfish and I will definitely be booking with them in the future! The gentleman Matt who answered the phone and spoke to us about pricing and times was very helpful and nice. Our captain was very respectful and obviously passionate about his job. We caught a ton a fish and made memories that will last for a long time to come. I recommend getting a good nights rest before your trip because your arms will be tired by the end of the day! My family and I went out with Matt and Jake fishing for shark and tarpon. We also mentioned before leaving the dock that we would like to catch some smaller fish for us to make dinner with that night. Within 30 minutes of leaving the dock we had more Spanish mackerel than we could eat! We were able to catch some of our own bait fish and then ended up catching a lemon shark! Both Matt and Jake were wonderful and even explained some of the things they were doing to our very inquisitive 7 year old who was along for the ride. Our trip was unfortunately cut a little short due to a fast approaching storm, but Matt made sure to make time to clean our fish right there on the dock before the rain started. We loved the experience and are definitely going to be visiting them again as soon as we can get back to St. Pete!
If I could I would give a 10-star rating. As a mom to an almost 13-year-old son who loves fishing but knows very little, Garret and Matt were really amazing. Matt made booking so easy and Garrett was so amazing. It was as if we had a marine biology lesson on the water--he was so skilled at attracting fish and fishing spots, we caught 8 different kinds of fish and came home with dinner! It was an absolute perfect day. We felt safe, well cared for and were so impressed with Garrett's knowledge and skill. Thank you guys, we will be back soon!!!
