South west view with enclosed safety shutter and permanent bars across the gallery window.
View into the interior of the cabin across the full width deck which functions as a threshold seat.
Front view with shutter folded. The shutter larch slats align with the slats of the main elevation. The counter battens onto which slats are fixed follow the slope of the roof to drain easily.
The window spans the whole width and provides uninterrupted relationship to the Machovo Lake.
The lake side is less than 7 metres from the cabin edge. The large window builds on the view and thermal gain from the light reflected off the lake.
The same view through the shutter folded ensures privacy, sun screen and natural ventilation in hot months.
Interior shot facing the sleeping gallery accessed by a ladder stair. The kitchen, wc and shower are compactly and discreetly placed below the gallery.
The interior is clad with jangled pine cladding, stained in white oil and wax.
The kitchen and wc with shower are conceived as a compact black insertion underneath the gallery which can be shut out when not in use.
Main sleeping area on top of the gallery with built in head cupboard. The window to the north provides views of the surrounding pine forest.
